Why Go Here

Becky Falls is a woodland park on Dartmoor centred on the Becka Brook’s natural cascade through a valley of large granite boulders. Ancient oak woodland surrounds the falls, creating a temperate-rainforest landscape that feels quite different from the open moor. Three circular trails let you choose how far to explore. The gentler Blue Trail includes a children’s nature challenge; the Red Trail reaches the main waterfall, while the more demanding Purple Trail continues towards the lower falls over rugged ground. The park also has animals, keeper talks and a café, making it an outing that combines walking with family activities. Wear sturdy footwear: roots, boulders, steep steps and slippery paths mean these are natural woodland walks rather than accessible surfaced routes.
