Agios Neophytos Monastery lies near Tala, north of Paphos, and was founded by the Cypriot recluse and writer Neophytos in the late 12th century. Its defining feature is the Enkleistra, a hermitage carved into the rock and decorated with Byzantine frescoes dating from the 12th to the 15th centuries.
