Why Go Here

Geroskipou’s marine protected area lies offshore from the coast east of Paphos and includes artificial-reef habitat. The Laboe wreck is a distinctive diving feature: a former vessel deliberately sunk to provide a home for marine life. Its underwater structure offers a different experience from viewing the coast on foot, with fish and other organisms using the wreck and surrounding sea. The site is a boat-access dive at roughly 27 metres, intended for suitably qualified divers. Arrange an outing through a local operator who can confirm the current conditions and protected-area requirements. The appeal is the combination of a recognisable vessel and the marine habitat that has developed around it, within Geroskipou’s wider coastal landscape.
