Blackpool Sands

Blackpool Sands
We arrived at Blackpool Sands after finishing one of TRIPIN’s recommended walking trails nearby, and it was a brilliant way to end the walk. We grabbed some food when we got here and it was really good, then spent some time on the beach. There’s loads of room, so even when it’s busy it doesn’t feel too cramped. Parking is on the expensive side at £10 for the day, but if you’re planning on staying for a good few hours or making a full day of it, I’d say it’s worth it. A really good spot to combine with a walk, some food and a few hours by the sea. — TRIPIN Founder

About Blackpool Sands

Pine trees form the backdrop to Blackpool Sands, giving this beach near Dartmouth a distinctive wooded setting. Despite the name, the shore is made of pebbles and shingle rather than a broad stretch of sand. It sits within the South Devon National Landscape, with the South West Coast Path close to the shore, linking the beach setting to the wider coastline.
