About Soap Rock / Soapy Cove

Historical/community camping report; current permission is unconfirmed. A mineral-rich little valley on the Lizard, where old workings, dark rock and a watercourse create a more enclosed camp landscape than the bare headlands. The old directory describes a valley beside an old mine with a stream and calls it abeautiful wild-pitch spot. The ground is best thought of as small valley, old mine and stream. Historic stream report only; any natural water must be treated and checked.
